Can I do annual DOT inspections after this course?
The course gives you a certificate of completion and an inspector qualification form. The form also asks for some hands-on background — for example, at least a year of experience as a mechanic or inspector in truck maintenance. Keep both the certificate and the signed form on file.
Does it cover trailers and brakes?
Yes. Both trailer inspections and brake inspections are covered.
Is the course valid in my state?
The course follows federal FMCSA rules, which apply nationwide. Some states add their own requirements, so it is worth checking with yours.
